On Feb. 29, junior class president Timmy Poland and Sophomore Class President Charlotte Webster attended the Long Island BOCES Student Regional Forum.

Our student leaders had the opportunity to engage with other student leaders from throughout Long Island for important discussions on social and school related issues, including school environment, mental health, school/life balance, real-world learning and more.

They shared their personal challenges, as well as learned about the lives of students who come from lower social economic status and how they deal with everyday school life.

During the forum and breakout sessions, Timmy and Charlotte were able to advise and counsel, as well as listen. It was a huge growth opportunity for both students as they continue to develop their leadership skills.
