East Rockaway Junior/Senior High School is excited to announce the appointment of Lauren Berg as the new World Languages Chairperson for grades 7-12. Ms. Berg brings 16 years of teaching experience in New York State public schools and an impressive academic background in both language instruction and educational leadership.

Ms. Berg earned her Bachelor of Arts in Adolescence Education with a focus on Spanish for grades 7-12 from SUNY Cortland. She went on to complete a Master of Science in Special Education at CUNY Queens, followed by a Master of Education in School Building Leadership from the same institution. Her diverse qualifications and extensive classroom experience have prepared her to lead the World Languages Department with a focus on enhancing language acquisition and fostering cultural understanding among students.

East Rockaway Junior/Senior High School looks forward to the positive impact Ms. Berg will bring to the World Languages Department and welcomes her to the school community.
