Educator Vincent Healy Recognized as a LI Hero for Anti-Bullying Advocacy

East Rockaway UFSD is proud to announce that Mr. Vincent Healy, Director of Pupil Personnel Services, has been named a Long Island Hero by the Long Island Coalition Against Bullying. This prestigious recognition honors his tireless efforts in addressing and alleviating bullying within our schools and across the Long Island region.

In his role as Director of Pupil Personnel Services, Mr. Healy has been a driving force in implementing several transformative programs that foster a safe and supportive environment for all students. Notably, his leadership in the introduction of the RULER and Sources of Strength programs has made a significant impact on the mental health and emotional development of our students. Additionally, Mr. Healy played a pivotal role in expanding the Second Step initiative, helping students cultivate appropriate social skills and furthering their personal growth.

The Long Island Coalition Against Bullying, a nonprofit organization focused on combating the harmful effects of bullying through advocacy, education, and outreach, has recognized the meaningful work led by Mr. Healy and his commitment to creating safer school environments.

We invite the entire East Rockaway community to join us in congratulating Mr. Healy on this well-deserved honor. He will be celebrated at the Long Island School Hero Awards dinner, hosted by the Long Island Coalition Against Bullying, on October 21 at StoneBridge Golf & Country Club.
