The district is proud to announce that Robert Kennedy Jr. was appointed to the position as East Rockaway’s new assistant director for pupil personnel services.

Robert has been with East Rockaway since 2009, where he started at the Junior-Senior High School as an ELA teacher. In 2012, he became a special education teacher at the school and led many successful activities throughout the years.

He earned his Bachelor of Arts in English and then his Master of Secondary Education in English from Molloy College. He also went on to complete the CITE Program at The College of Saint Rose. He also earned several New York State teaching certifications, including both Adolescent Education ELA grades 7-12 and SWD grades 7-12, School Building Leader and School District Leader.

Robert said he looks forward to cultivating an environment in which every student is afforded the opportunity to achieve at the highest levels. “I am excited to contribute to a setting that helps our students grow into productive problem solvers and who learn to engage in meaningful collaboration as they prepare for their post-secondary careers.”
