First grade students in Mrs. Mary Arapas’ and Mrs. Heather Figliozzi’s classes at Centre Avenue school were excited when members of the East Rockaway Public Library recently visited them.
Inspired by the library’s upcoming summer reading program, the students listened to read alouds and participated in crafts, where they created reading bookmarks that looked like ice cream popsicles. In addition, they also learned about the reading program and how to enroll.
