Students, faculty and administrators joined together for a special tribute to our veterans at Centre Avenue School.

Members of the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines during Korea, Vietnam and Desert Storm were honored and presented with handmade gifts of gratitude from the students.

The presentation concluded with an assembly hosted by Northwell Health’s Military Liaison Services featuring Marine Corps Master Gunnery Sergeant John Escalante who explained the branches of the military and shared his early inspirations and personal experience growing up as a child of immigrant parents from Ecuador.
